TEXT: Ephesians 5:24-27; Revelation 19:1-10 THESIS: Because Christ has loved, purchased, cleansed, nourished, and promised His church, believers must love what Christ loves and live as a faithful bride awaiting her Bridegroom.   TRUTH: Every wedding has a moment when the doors open and the bride begins to walk down the aisle. But before that moment, much preparation has already taken place. The dress has been chosen, the details have been arranged, and everything is moving toward presentation. In Ephesians 5, Paul shows us that Christ is not simply waiting for His bride; He is preparing her. TEXT: Acts 2:42-47 THESIS: When the Spirit forms a church, its people become devoted to God’s Word, to one another, to prayer, to generosity, to worship and to witness.   TRUTH: Imagine walking into a house that looks beautiful from the outside. The paint is fresh, the porch is swept, the lights are on, and from the street everything appears healthy and alive. But when you step inside, you discover that the rooms are disconnected. The kitchen has no food, the table has no chairs, the family members rarely speak, and no one seems to know what anyone else needs. It may be a house, but it does not feel like a home. Something similar can happen in a church. A church may have gatherings, music, programs, buildings, and activity, yet still miss the kind of family life Christ intends to create. TEXT: 1Corinthians 12:12-27 THESIS: The Holy Spirit joins redeemed people to Christ and to one another as His church, gifting every member with an eternal purpose in the body so that each person’s service builds up the church and displays the greater glory of God’s kingdom.   I want to encourage each member of EFBC to see their place in the church through an eternal lens: every believer has been gifted by God, placed in the body of Christ, and called to serve for the strengthening of the church and the greater glory of His kingdom.   TRUTH: Most people do not notice a body until something stops working. You rarely thank your knee until it aches, rarely appreciate your lungs until breathing becomes difficult, and rarely think about your smallest toe until it strikes the corner of the bed.
